Felt Rabbit Workshop. Sunday March 16th 2025
I have a new workshop space so please note the different address.
Rehome Repurpose
Castlefields,
Stafford
United Kingdom,
ST161BQ
I'm going to be teaching from and here and it has free parking and full wheelchair access..which is what I've been struggling to find. I really wanted to offer it to all.
It's still in Stafford and is roughly 10 mins walk from my old place to give you an idea if you have already been.
A good 5 mins walk from the train station so it is easy to get to and find.
It's very bright with a kitchen next to it so again it's better for those who want to make their own food/lunch.
In the past I've had period buildings which have been utterly charming but have been really problematic with stairs and toilets so I have had to make changes so my classes are available to as many as possible and now have a more modern building and set up.
As with all my classes they are set up in a way for it to be highly social and I'll be opting for big tables so everyone can sit around and chat and make friends..I say this as I know some people like to be quiet and sew on their own..my classes are often bubbly and fun and this might not be everyone's thing.
It will be a fun day of playing around with different shapes and techniques. One where you are very welcome to bring any precious fabrics or small objects you would like to include on your piece. I want you to go home refreshed and full of ideas with a finished piece...and maybe new friends...how fab would that be? I feel very lucky in that my workshops attract brilliant people and teaching is always such a pleasure to share with you.
Your creative item can be scaled up or down and with the skills learnt on the day. You can make small ones for a Christmas tree or mobiles up to very large ones, which would look amazing on bookshelves and table settings. They lend themselves beautifully throughout the seasons.
Hot drinks and biscuits are provided and you are welcome to bring your own lunch or make something in the small kitchen which is next door to the workroom.
Indeed everything is very local with the train station being only 10 minutes walk away and so are a few great hotels if you are wanting to stay over.
Workshop places are £120 per person.
10.30am -6.00pm
Hotel wise very close by is 'The Swan'.
https://theswanstafford.co.uk/
Located in the town about 10 mins walk from where I will be teaching from it features dreamy interiors and beautifully decorated zones and rooms which are perfect for any occasion.
Also local and more budget friendly is 'The Vine'

Cozy and traditional with lovely rooms..it's one of my faves and they make you feel really at home. Perfect.
For a more glitzy affair for dinner and drinks you have 'The Post House'

This place is fantastic and the service and interiors are stunning..it's a real treat and I can't think of a finer place to sip cocktails and marvel at how they have kept the original interiors and welcomed chandeliers and giraffes on board...the staircase alone makes you feel like a millionaire.
Just a quick note...this workshop is for making a Rabbit...please don't come to a workshop and ask to make a life size badger or a huge toadstool or a Panda...I know I shouldn't have to say this but it's happened a few times...many thanks.
